Acne is generally considered to be a trivial condition, confined to adolescents, who are expected to ‘grow out’ of it by the time they become part of the working population. Dr Andrew Finlay’s experience suggests otherwise and argues that acne can affect older sufferers and disable employees who are not referred for appropriate treatment.
